eine Erzählung in englischer Sprache diktirte,
u. ich dictando nachschrieb, u. zwar fehlerlos.
Sodann habe ich während meiner 7 monatl. Strafzeit
nomie u. Weltgeschichte <insertion>jedenfalls</insertion> geben. Während wir
schulmeistern, besorgt meine Frau die Haus=
haltung u. gibt Acht, daß die [?] nicht
verbrennt oder gar von der [?] gestohlen
wird. However, all this, is but a proposal
to for you, dearest sister-in-law! You may con=
sider it, and if you please to agree to it,
you will communicate us your opinion of it.
I see [paper damaged] the russian tyranny |:tyrannical
government:| <insertion>come</insertion> over Germany, and I will and
wish to save, whatever I can. I can not
tell you how I felt, when being intro=
duced into the "house of Correction" a
house but only fitted up to common cri=
minals. I can therefore not feel happy
in a country and <insertion>or</insertion> under a government,
that is charged from such a guilt
of blood. The hinderance of our going
away is the aversion of our children,
particularly of my daughter Sophia,
the true copy of you, because they
are governed from the power of [?]oon.
Be [?] from
Your brother in law
Schlemmer.
