Henrietta Lueck immigrated to the US in 1888 settling in the Sacramento, CA area. In 1904 she married Henry Mertens in Sacramento. Henry also immigrated to the US from Germany in 1888 and came to Sacramento in 1900. The 1911 letter was sent to Henrietta by a relative (possibly her sister) living in Eilbek, Germany (postmarked from Hamburg). I also have a scanned copy of the back of the envelope used to mail this letter.
