Octob. 7. 1872 Dear Sir! I received the Bill of Sale from Ernst and you Can tell Peter if you see him that I will pay him $ 20.00 for the houses if he’ll let me have the stove and the Gun and other things wich Garlick has got belonging to him, let me know as Quick as you Can because I have sold the houses to Garlick and I want to move the stove out of the house, and ask him if he owes any money to Garlick and how much. Garlick will be down to morrow tell him I have paid 20.00 dollars to Peter, and of you see Pet tell him to say the same because it ain’t stated in the Bill of Sale how much I have paid Send me a note to the affect that I can Claim the thins belonging to Peter if Peter agrees to the price write to Ernst and enclose the note
