Vor allem mein lieber [roman:] Hermann [/roman] zu Deinem 49t. Geburtstage meinen herzlichsten Glückwunsch -, mögst Du diesen Tag noch vielmals gesund u. zufrieden im Kreise der Lieben Deinigen verleben. Mit vieler Freuden ersehe ich aus Deinem l. Schreiben vom 23 / II v. J. daß es Euch Allen recht wohl ergeht, möge dies auch ferner andauern! Daß[roman:] Carl [/roman] sich eine solche Existenz begründet hat, sich so jung verheirathen zu können, ist ja recht erfreulich-, ohne Zweifel wird er sich dieser für sein ganzes Leben so wichtige und folgenreiche Vorhaben [underline] recht reiflich [/underline] überlegt haben_. Sein jetziges Einkommen ist ja recht gut, wenn es für die Folge ebenso sicher u. an seinem Ort billig [strikethrough:] ist [/strikethrough] zu leben ist_ . Meine herzlichen Glückwünsche zu seinem wichtigen Vorhaben._ Das Schreiben mit meiner steifen Hand wir mir so sehr beschwerlich, daß ich es Deiner Mutter überlassen muß, Dir weitere Mittheilungen zu machen &. Mein lieber Hermann!
Zuerst die besten Glückwünsche zu Deinem bevorstehenden Geburtstage möge Dir der liebe Gott alles gute geben was eine liebevolle Mutter für ihr geliebtes Kind vom lieben Gott täglich erbittet u mögest Du alles haben was Du Dir selbst nur wünschst, Du mußt aber auch Deinen Geburtstag nicht vergessen es ist doch immer in wichtiger Tag im Jahr u den wirst Du auch genießen mit Liebe Deiner armen Mutter gedenken, mir ist mein Geburtstag ein ser weintiger Tag / weil ich schon lange keine Freude mer kenn/ aber dennog danke ich dem lieben Gott an diesem Tag besonders für alle groß Güte u Gnad u ich wehr auch sonderbar was ich anders währe da mein Töchter u deren Kinder alles aufbiten mich an dem Tag zu er

freuen Du schreibst das Dein Carl sich Verheiraten will ich wünsche Ihm alles Glück u Segen zu Seinem Vorhaben ich möchte aber auch gern wissen, wer u wie Seine Braud ist daß bitt ich Dich uns doch recht bald zu schreiben Es ist recht gut das Du bald Dein Amte als Steuereinfenger laß biß es hatt mit mange unruige Stunde gemacht wenn ich daran dacht wie vielen Gefahr Du ausgesetzt warst bei Deiner großen Kautzion u mit so viele Gelde unterwechs jetz kanst Du Dich besser schohnen aber es wird Dir doch für den Anfang nerwisch vor kom immer zu Hause zu sein da doch John u Wi so gut ohne Dich den Farm bestellten. _ Wilhelm hat uns auch auf Silvester geschrieben das vergist der gut Junge zu meiner Freude doch nich es geht Ihn allen recht gut nur über seine Toch M Minna ergere ich mich das gute Kind ist zur Lehrerin aus gebild u ein Jah zur Zufriedenheit die Schule

gehabt u nun hat Sie keine Lust Ihre Kentnisse zu verwerten es thut mir um Wilh. leid den 100 Dolar finde man doch in kein Elsternest._ Adelheid mit Mann u Kinde wahr über die Weinacht u Neujar bei uns es geht Ihr vie besser ist aber sehr schwach u kan nicht viel vertrag es ist gut das Sie nur 2 Töchte hat_ Ther ist ser oft recht Leident u Ihr Gesunht hat durch Ihr unglückligen Verhältnisse sehr gelitten es ist mir recht angst u bang für Sie Ihr Toch ist ein gutes schön Kinde geht fleißig zur Schule._ Es freut mich das Adolph zur Sule geht u so gut lern es ist recht wen Du was an Ihn wendest den all braug auch nicht Farmer zu werden._ Mir geht es so zimlich ich muß nur rech oft viel Schmerz leide doch ich habe so zimlich den Kopf oben u bin zu friede wie es ist ich bin nun 70 J ald u da kan man nich mehr auf vie hoffen. Nun mein lieb Her lebe rech wohl u grüß all Deine Lieben von Dein Dich herzlieb Mutter
